Boardies is a board game community and café on a terrace in HSR Layout. 200+ games on the shelf, people who'll teach you any of them, and coffee that keeps up.
It started with not enough people to play with
Anyone who has bought a heavy euro game in Bengaluru knows the problem: the box is gorgeous, the rulebook is 24 pages, and you cannot get four adults in one room on a weeknight. Boardies exists so that the table is already set and the people are already there.
A terrace, 2400 square feet, and a very full shelf
We took a terrace floor in HSR Layout Sector 2 and filled it with games, coffee and food that doesn't get in the way of a card hand. Open seating, good light, and enough space that a four-hour game and a quick party round can happen at neighbouring tables without either ruining the other.
Nobody has to already know how to play
Every session has someone who can teach. You don't need to have read the rules, you don't need a group, and you don't need to own a single game. Turn up alone on a Wednesday and you'll be playing something within fifteen minutes.
